Welcome to what we have named “The Family Roots Book”. It is the result of decades of research, from interviews with family in the U.S. and Italy, and old letters and stories. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who contributed their time and knowledge.
Although the content includes the usual family ancestral charts, our goal has been to capture where our ancestors lived, their experiences, and most important, their values. We are now living the American Dream, not just through our own efforts, but thanks to the strength and perseverance of those who came before us..

Before you begin the Book, it is important that you first read the Introduction. It provides overall guidance to the content. This on-line text is not editable. However, you may download any content for help in crafting your own family story.
Our story starts in Italy, before our ancestors made their way to America. Throughout this book, you’ll come across many family members, and to help clarify their relationships, we’ve put together a “FUN” (Frequently Used Names) list, which is available as a separate document for easy reference. To make things even more convenient, we’ve added interactive rollovers in each chapter. So, whenever you encounter a name with the FUN acronym—like Olga Emiliani Gaudenzi (G2)—simply hover your mouse over it, and her full name and relationship to us will appear above.
